MyoStretch Therapy was developed by our in-house Physiotherapist. This treatment involves full-body assisted stretching to address common areas of tightness and pain. Our therapists use soft tissue massage, positioning, and breathing techniques to work into tension points. This treatment can help alleviate neck tension, lower back pain, and improve flexibility. We highly recommend this session for clients that do not have an acute injury and are focusing on maintaining their physical health. This includes desk workers, athletes, students, and seniors!

Please note that MyoStretch Therapy is not intended to assess or diagnose injuries. This treatment may be performed by a Therapy Assistant.

Sonia graduated from her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Flinders University in Australia. Prior to that, she obtained her Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Alberta in 2019.

Throughout her career, Sonia has developed a strong passion for using manual therapy and exercise prescription to treat patients with musculoskeletal injuries. Sonia takes a holistic approach to patient care, considering not only the physical aspects of an injury but also the emotional and psychological impact it can have on an individual.

During her time in Australia, Sonia gained experience working with a diverse patient population, including individuals with neurological conditions, chronic pain, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs. She also gained experience in treating sports injuries, which is particularly relevant given her own background as a competitive soccer player.

Although Sonia no longer plays soccer at a competitive level, she remains active and enjoys participating in recreational soccer and working out at the gym. Her personal experience as an athlete has given her a unique perspective on the importance of injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Sonia is excited to work with patients to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life.
